As I mentioned yesterday, there was no way I could fit my whole Scott Antique Market experience into one blog post. Check out Part 1 to be brought up to speed.
There were several trends we noticed at the market. First of all, you couldn’t walk two steps without seeing burlap in some form. There were burlap chairs, sofas, framed burlap wall art, lamp shades, etc. I love burlap, so I’m glad to see that so many other people do too! There was also a lot of driftwood. (Lamps, pendant lights, sculptures, etc., made out of it.) And of course, tons of repurposed items.
Lots of driftwood! Some of these had been turned into pendant light fixtures. |
There were doors, shutters and salvaged items everywhere! |
There were tons of bins full of cabinet hardware, drawer pulls, doorknobs, and all sorts of other bits and pieces. |
My favorite booth was located outside, in front of the North building. The business is called Junkology, and there were all sorts of cool furniture pieces there. Everything was unique and beautiful. If you love what you see here, stop by and visit the owner either here at Scott Antique Market, or at The Bone Yard on Raymond Hill Rd. in Newnan, GA.
I’m sure you can see why I loved this booth so much! |
I was absolutely in love with both of these chairs, especially the one on the right. |
Loved all of these unique chairs, and the pretty table too. |
Loved this cute handpainted dresser too. |
As you can see, it was worth the trip to the antique market just for the Junkology booth alone! This was definitely the highlight of the North building.
Now, for our found “treasures.” Try to use your imagination. They may be ugly now, but I hope to give them both “trash-to-treasure” makeovers in the near future.
I got a major bargain on this chair, which was found outside the South building. |
This console table was a steal too, also found outside the South building. After its makeover, it will most likely find a home as our dining room buffet table. |
And my friend, Tiffany’s, find:
Tiffany got a great deal on a pair of these chairs which she plans on painting a fun color and using outdoors. |
I hope you enjoyed hearing about this amazing antique market. I can’t wait to go back! (After I recuperate from a long day of walking in the hot sun.)
Leave a comment and let me know what you think! Is this a place you’d love to visit too?
