When I was asked to review Moen’s new Halo Rainshower Shower head, I initially said that I probably couldn’t. Not because I didn’t think it would be amazing – I could tell by looking at it that I would love it. But I was a little intimidated by anything plumbing-related, plus we are currently renting and I didn’t want to mess with any fixtures. I was quickly assured that not only is it super easy to install (just unscrew the old one and screw on the new one – no messing with plumbing required), but also I could just replace it and take it with me if and when we move. When I found out that it would be really easy, I was on board.

The Moen Halo Shower head is pretty large at 9 inches in diameter, and has three main functions: deep massage, relaxing massage and full rainshower. It pivots so that you can have more control over the coverage, and it is easy to install. Like, really easy. As in, I could do it by myself in under five minutes. It’s available at Home Depot, so if you decide to go out and buy one, I can tell you that you will not be disappointed.
To install the shower head, all you do is grab a wrench, wrap a towel around your existing shower head and carefully unscrew it by turning counter-clockwise. (Or if you’re lucky and/or really strong, you can just do it by hand.)
Wrap the threads with Teflon tape and then screw on the new shower head. Use your wrench to tighten it, wrapping it in a towel first so that you don’t scratch the metal. You might also want to cover the drain with a towel just to prevent anything from falling in there during the process. That’s it!
The Halo Shower Head makes you feel like you’re at a spa. For someone like me who has two kiddos who refuse to let me shower in peace most days, I’d at least like to feel like I’m at a spa for those 3 minutes of peace and quiet before they barge in on me. Let’s face it, it’s the closest I’m going to get to a spa for a while. My favorite setting is the “deep massage.” It is great for sore muscles, plus the added water pressure allows me to wash my hair faster. Saving time is always a plus! So, not only was I able to install this shower head by myself very quickly, but I also save time showering now and feel like I’m at a spa. Not too shabby.
If you want to feel like you’re at a spa (until that moment when reality hits you in the form of your children busting through the door) then I recommend a Moen Halo Shower Head. It really is pretty awesome.
The people at Moen were also nice enough to send me an extra one to gift to a friend or family member, so I will be giving it to my in-laws as a way to say thanks for all they do for us. Seems fitting with Thanksgiving coming up.
Are you able to shower in peace at your house? (What’s that like?) Does your shower make you feel like you’re at a spa?
Disclosure: I received this product for free to review. All opinions are my own.

Looks great! Can’t believe it was that easy. I wish my shower was tall enough to accommodate something like that but I’d be hard-pressed to give up my hand held shower-head.

Wow, that looks really relaxing. Water, at just the right pressure is strong enough to massage your back, yet it is gentle on the skin. You will feel as if you just came out of the spa. And if you apply enough pressure your head and shoulders will get a massage as well.
