I recently received a roll of Measure-It! Adhesive Measuring Tape in the mail, and I instantly knew that it would come in handy for all sorts of DIY projects. I’m excited to tell you about it, because I know you will love it too. Measure-It! Tape sticks to virtually any surface, speeding up work time and ensuring accuracy when doing things like measuring for cutting, spacing items, lining things up to hang, etc. I tested it out when I added ribbon trim to my bedroom window cornice, and it was the perfect tool for the job. I used it to measure and perfectly space my ribbon so that I could create a Greek key pattern. The width of the tape was also perfect for the space between the ribbon and the edge of the cornice.
This is just one of about a zillion uses I can think of for this product. I also used it when hanging some framed art (which I will show you soon!). At around 5 bucks a pop, this is an inexpensive product that should be in every DIY-lover’s arsenal.
Some of my favorite features include the fact that it is repositionable; you can write on it to mark where you need to hang something or drill a hole, etc.; it works well on curved surfaces; it eliminates the need for an extra set of hands; and it has marks every 16 inches to indicate wall stud spacing.
Measure-It! Tape literally has hundreds of possible uses. It’s great for hanging pictures or curtains, painting projects, scrapbooking, measuring fabric, quilting, arts and crafts, drilling, cutting, room layout, etc. It has low-tack adhesive which means you can reposition it and remove it without damaging surfaces. It also has a repeating 12″ shaded measure, allowing you to count footage from a distance. It is paintable and markable with pen, pencils or marker.
Thanks to this product, now I have this nifty little design on my window cornice, and it’s equally spaced out and symmetrical.
Measure-It! Tape is available for purchase at participating True Value Hardware Stores in the U.S. and independent hardware stores in the U.S. and Canada, as well as online at the Measure-It! ebay store. So tell me, would this tape come in handy for you too? I’d love it if you would leave a comment and let me know how you would use it!

Hi Larry! Only select True Value Hardware stores carry it, so I think that there are some that don’t have it. Here is a link with a list to other locations that carry it: http://www.measureittape.com/united-states/ If none of these locations are near you, you could contact the company (their email is on their website) and I’m sure they’d be happy to help you get ahold of some!
