I was recently asked by Kroger to come up with a creative idea for pairing gift cards with other items from their store for the holidays. As you know, I love a good challenge, so I happily accepted. The gift card I received was a $25 Applebee’s gift card.
I decided to play off of the “apple” theme and come up with a gift package that would work well for a teacher (without being overly cheesy). This is my “Caramel Apple Teacher’s Gift Package.”
I paired the Applebee’s gift card with a bottle of Martinelli’s sparkling apple cider, a package of Caramel Apple Pie cookies from Pepperidge Farm, a Glade Apple Cinnamon candle, and some Lindor chocolate caramels — because what goes better with apples than caramel? Yum.
I like buying gift cards because it’s easy, but I love the idea of packaging it with other items to make the gift seem a little more personal.
