Warning: This post is VERY photo-heavy! The nursery is finally finished and I am so excited to show it to you! I went with a gray & gold gender neutral nursery, and after the baby is born and we know the gender, then we can tweak things or add another accent color if we want. I’ll let you check out the photos, and I’ll add source info throughout the post. I’ll link to sources when able, and if I can’t find the specific product online then I’ll just let you know where I found it. (I made all the art on the walls and there will be tutorials and more info on that to come.)
Wall Color: Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore
Lamp (relocated from our bedroom): Target / Side Table / Glider (Specific info here)/ Pillow Fabric: Online Fabric Store (I won the pillow in a Haven Conference raffle) / Basket & Faux Fur Rug: HomeGoods
Bamboo Roman Shades / Curtains / Elephant String Art / Crib Blanket (actually just a quilted throw blanket): HomeGoods
Elephant Basket: HomeGoods / Dresser / Sunburst Mirror / Lamp: Hobby Lobby clearance find (I added ribbon trim.)
Crib Mobile / Elephant String Art
The rhino on the dresser came from the dollar store and we spray painted it, and then I colored the horns with a metallic gold Sharpie.
Arrow closet handles: Hobby Lobby
I opted to layer frames in order to beef up the size of this artwork. I had an old thrift store frame in storage in the basement and painted it with metallic gold craft paint. I made the little pennant banner out of gray felt and gold glitter cardstock. I’ll also share an easy tutorial soon for the glitter deer silhouette art.
I painted the animal artwork and designed the printables (printables coming soon).
The vintage wagon came from my great-grandfather. He owned a car dealership and he used to give these wagons away when people purchased a car. I have no idea why he gave away wagons, but I’m happy to have one!
The cute elephant crib sheet is from Target.
Just to refresh your memory, here is the initial mood board I designed before I started the room. It’s interesting to see how things evolved from this little “vision.” Here’s what the room looked like before when it was our guest bedroom.
Here’s a list of all of the DIY projects in the room. (Some of these will be updated with links as I add tutorials):
- Curtains
- Elephant String Art
- Deer Art
- Mini Pennant Banner
- Handpainted Animal Art
- Framed Printables
- Dollar Store Rhino
- Crib Mobile
- Painted Walls
- Added ribbon trim to lamp shades (here’s the method I used.)
UPDATE: It’s a boy! Baby Jonah arrived on November 25.
