When we moved into our new home in January, the garage became a major dumping ground for all sorts of junk that we couldn’t yet store in the basement since it hadn’t been waterproofed. We planned on organizing soon after we finished having it waterproofed, but as you know, this pregnancy has been rough so far and everything got put on hold. This weekend (with some major help from my husband, Chris) we finally tackled the garage. We started by installing a Rubbermaid FastTrack organization system which I picked up at Target.
Here’s what our cluttered garage looked like before.
Chris got the honor of hanging the FastTrack (aka doing all the work). Hey, someone had to take pictures, right?
The instructions were easy to follow and it didn’t take long at all to hang. The Rubbermaid FastTrack is the perfect way to get organized, and hopefully we will stay organized throughout the year now. I love that it comes with a variety of brackets to hang all sorts of outdoor tools and gear.
Here it is all set up.
The Rubbermaid FastTrack 5-piece kit is now on sale at Target for $28.89 (reg. $33.99) from May 18, 2014 – May 24, 2014, so now is definitely the time to buy! This deal is available in stores only. It’s the perfect time to get organized for spring, and this is a great way to do that. We plan on eventually getting several more and lining the wall with them. It’s nice to have all of our gear up off the floor and in a spot where we can easily see and reach everything. Now that warmer weather is here, we definitely need to be able to easily access all of our yard tools and outdoor supplies. The Rubbermaid FastTrack was the perfect solution for us.
There’s still a lot to be done, but here is the progress that was made over the weekend. It’s definitely better than the “before” picture!
Now if we could just tackle the inside of the house … but that’s another story. 🙂
