This post is short and sweet — it’s a simple tray makeover, but I had to post it since it was my husband’s first time spray painting for me. (He’s getting stuck with all the fun jobs since I am pregnant.) Anyway, I got this reddish colored tray from Target a couple years ago. It wasn’t that I disliked the red, it just didn’t really go with any of our decor. But I loved the quatrefoil detail and the size was perfect.
I set up a little spray painting station in the garage, gave Chris a quick lesson (quick, sweeping motions are best — not continuous spraying), and then let him go to town.
And here is the end result. (Along with a sneak peek of our family room which I’ll be showing you very soon!) We used Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch 2x Ultra Cover Spray Paint in Gloss White.
It always amazes me how something as simple and inexpensive as paint can completely change the look of something. Now it goes great in our family room!
Do you love spray painting as much as I do? I have to say, since being pregnant, I really miss it!
